Student Organizations

Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) are an integral component of Career and Technical Education. CTSOs enhance student learning through contextual instruction, leadership and personal development, applied learning and real world application. Each CTSO is aligned with state and/or national standards in one or more of the CTE Career Clusters and provides opportunities for students to apply career and technical knowledge and skills outside the classroom, serve the school and community through volunteer work, network with business/industry leaders and post-secondary institutions, and more. CTSOs are independently governed by their own board at the state and national levels. All CTE students are encouraged to obtain membership and participate in one or more CTSO relevant to their post-secondary goals and ambitions.
